Auto Racing: 2010 Weekly Shootout

Overview

PTF's Weekly Shootout (the "Shootout") is a public, fantasy auto racing competition based upon the final 31-weeks of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, beginning with the sixth race on March 28, 2010 and ending with the last race on November 21, 2010. During each week of the Shootout, you compete against all of the other entrants of the Shootout to earn the most points for that particular week. Entrants that earn the most points during any week of the Shootout earn prizes (as described below).

Entering the Competition

There is a one-time entry fee of $9.95 USD for each team you register to compete in the Shootout. There is no limit to the number of teams you may register to compete in the Shootout (subject to the payment of an additional entry fee for each team you register).

In order to compete during the first week of the Shootout, you must complete your entry and select your first weekly roster before the start of the sixth race on March 28, 2010. You may enter the Shootout at anytime after the sixth race on March 28, 2010 (but prior to the start of the last race on November 21, 2010) to compete in any remaining weeks of the Shootout.

Selecting Rosters

Each week of the Shootout, you will start six drivers (each a "Driver" and, collectively, the "Drivers"), 2 Drivers from Group A, 2 Drivers from Group B, and 2 Drivers from Group C.

  • Group A consists of the top 12 Drivers in the final official standings for the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.
  • Group B consists of Drivers that finished 13th through 26th in the final official standings for the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.
  • Group C consists of the remaining Drivers competing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup event for the applicable week of the Shootout.

You may start a Driver a maximum of six times throughout the entire 31-week Shootout. Each Driver in your weekly Shootout roster may be added or dropped up until the start of a race during that week of the Shootout. If any Driver suffers a season-ending injury (including death), such Driver (i) will be removed from the applicable Group (i.e., will not be available to start in any future weeks of the Shootout) and (ii) will not be replaced by any other Driver from any other Group.

Awarding Prizes

During each week of the Shootout, PTF shall award the following cash prizes to the entrants who accumulate the most total points during such week (each, a "Weekly Shootout Prize"):

If two or more entrants that win a Weekly Shootout Prize (each, a "Prize Winner") accumulate an identical one-week score, those Prize Winners will split the combined value of the Weekly Shootout Prizes associated with their original finishing orders. For example, if two entrants tie for first and second place, the combined value of the Weekly Shootout Prizes for first and second place (e.g., $350) will be combined and divided evenly between the two entrants.

Each Prize Winner shall be notified by e-mail (or via U.S. mail, if applicable) at the e-mail or regular mail address supplied by such Prize Winner to PTF, and such Prize Winner will have fifteen (15) days from the date such notification was sent to respond by following the instructions provided in such notification. Each Prize Winner will be required to submit valid identification to PTF and to execute any release PTF deems necessary, including but not limited to, an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and a publicity release (where permissible). Failure to comply with PTF's requirements may result in disqualification. PTF is not responsible for and shall not be liable for any Weekly Shootout Prize that is declined or undeliverable, or for any Weekly Shootout Prize or prize notification that is returned as undeliverable or if the Prize Winner fails to timely return the above mentioned documentation. In any of these situations the original Prize Winner will be disqualified.

Subject to the restrictions contained in these Shootout rules and the Terms and Conditions of Use, all Weekly Shootout Prizes shall be delivered to each respective Prize Winner within the later to occur of: (i) ninety (90) days after the completion of the applicable week of the Shootout; and (ii) thirty (30) days after the respective Prize Winner has submitted its valid identification to PTF, executed any release PTF deems necessary, including but not limited to, an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and a publicity release (where permissible), and PTF has otherwise verified that delivery of such Weekly Shootout Prize to such Prize Winner does not violate any applicable law.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY STATED IN THESE SHOOTOUT RULES, YOUR ELIGIBILITY TO WIN AND RECEIVE PRIZES IS SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE.
